There Are Many Types Of Surface Treatment For Bolts

Oct 19, 2023|

There are many types of surface treatment for bolts, commonly used including electroplating, blackening, oxidation, phosphating, and non electrolytic zinc sheet coating treatment. However, electroplated fasteners account for a large proportion in the actual use of fasteners. Especially widely used in industries and fields such as automobiles, tractors, household appliances, instrumentation, aerospace, and communication. However, for threaded fasteners, it is not only necessary to have a certain anti-corrosion ability during use, but also to ensure the interchangeability of threads, which can be referred to as screw fit here. It is necessary to establish specialized electroplating layer standards in order to simultaneously meet the dual performance requirements of anti-corrosion and interchangeability for threaded fasteners during use. The GB/T5267.1-2002 [Electroplated Coatings on Thread Fasteners] standard is one of the series of national standards for "Surface Treatment of Fasteners", which includes: GB/T5267.1-2002 [Electroplated Coatings on Fasteners]; GB/T5267.2-2002 [Non electrolytic zinc sheet coating for fasteners] two standards. This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO4042; 1999 [Electroplated coatings on threaded fasteners]. This standard replaces the GB/T5267-1985 standard for electroplated coatings on threaded fasteners.
